Befriending for Reintegration:
Making Connections for a Fresh Start
Befrienders play an important role in the journey of reintegration.
In partnership with SUSS UniLEARN, this e-course gives insights into the befriending journey, ways of navigating challenges & boundaries, an understanding of the aftercare landscape and more.

Whether you’re currently a volunteer befriender, are looking to be one in the near future or just generally curious about the aftercare sector, this e-course is a good start to broaden your understanding.

RNR Approach to Offender Rehabilitation in Singapore
The Risk-Need-Responsivity (RNR) Approach to Offender Rehabilitation in Singapore course provides an overview of the principles of Risk, Need and Responsivity in offender rehabilitation.
In partnership with SUSS UniLEARN, this e-course provides an understanding of the RNR approach, its three core principles and how the reintegration & rehabilitation framework of Singapore Prison Service is influenced by the RNR model. ​

Correctional Landscape &
Rehabilitation Approaches
Persons engaged in offender rehabilitation work (e.g. helping professionals, volunteers) play a significant role in the ecosystem of support that facilitates offenders and ex-offenders’ rehabilitation and reintegration into society.
In partnership with SUSS UniLEARN, this e-course provides an overview of the criminal justice system as well as the relevant government and community agencies that work with offenders and ex-offenders. It will also give insight to the correctional approaches applied in Singapore and the evidence-based practices applied in rehabilitation work.

Group Facilitation Skills
The use of group-based rehabilitation, such as support groups or psychoeducational groups, is becoming increasingly common in the work with offenders. The role of the group facilitator is especially crucial in building a safe and supporting environment for sharing & fostering peer support.
In partnership with SUSS UniLEARN, this e-course explains the stages of group development, the role of the facilitator at each stage, and practical skills in facilitating a group.
