Befriending
Finding support through friendship and connection
Receiving support from others makes a difference and can go a long way.
The journey of rehabilitation may feel daunting at times. Having social support is key and SACA's Befriending programme creates opportunities for clients to build rapport & connect with others.
Through one-to-one befriending, clients will be paired up with a volunteer who will journey with them during the aftercare phase of reintegration. This includes discussing release plans, identifying main problem areas to work upon his/her release and providing support to address any issues affecting rehabilitation.
